A little honesty…
I’ve been in a bummed mood for weeks now. All I do is work - been working 12 hours days 5-6 days a week for the last little while and I think it is slowly killing me, for real.
The weather has been cold, my daughter has been beyond cranky and hitting the terrible 2s just a little early (she turns 2 on April 12), I’m beyond exhausted and I just can’t seem to get out of this rut.
I need to find some happy somewhere, and soon.
I gave up running sometime in late January, and I know I’ve put on a couple pounds which has only added to the down on me mood. So tomorrow is a new day, and with that, I will resume where I left up. My friend and I have signed up for a 10k walk-run for October, and there’s also a half marathon as well, which I am still undecided about, but if I can get my butt into gear and stop with the bah humbug attitude, things should start looking up!

Love my new Shellac nails!
So far, they are so worth the $23. Just need to see if they live up to the 14 day reputation.
I’m probably beyond late on knowing about this, but on Friday I will be getting my very first Shellac manicure. I’m beyond excited, I can’t wait. The last time I got a proper manicure was ages ago. I did, after all, have pampering myself as one of my New Year Resolutions!
Now I just need to figure out what color I want. I’m leaning towards grey with a hint of sparkle.

I start training for a new job tomorrow morning. I am equal parts nervous, and excited. I really hope everything goes well!
Some nights I really hate work, and tonight is one of those times.
So far, everything that could go wrong, has, and I’m only 3 hours into my shift.

Since lightening my hair in early December, I have been using the Moroccan Oil hair treatment after every wash, before I dry and flatiron/curl my hair. I have to say, I wasn’t noticing much of a difference until I used it a few nights ago before bed on the ends. I used a little more than I had been, worked it into the ends, and left in one over night. My hair has never been softer or shinier. My hair, just like my skin, is very dry, and with it being winter, it needs a lot more moisture to keep it looking healthy and happy. Definitely a product I love and will be repurchasing in the future.
